When a super-charged inspirational management style collides with an excessively discipline-centred one, impossible expectations of what staff can achieve will and have became normal. Is the mix going to last? If yes, where will this lead us, how long can this be sustained and what is the overall long term effect of running and managing a company in such fashion

It’s hard to work in retail. Walmart tech jobs in Arkansas have same issues without the pay (talking high 50’s for a software engineer with ten years experience) be grateful you are at least compensated fairly for your long hours.
Look at what folks are saying all over the Internet about Amazon - It's cut throat, it's hard, it's merciless but you learn a lot and they pay well. They work you really hard but you can grow and you can work on stuff that's pretty advanced. So, it's up to you - do you want a cushy job in the school district or a cutting edge tech at Amazon - everyone is different and both are viable options that will work differently for folks that seek different things in life. Also, no layoffs at Amazon
