Has anyone used the outplacement services that Shell offers?? I am just wondering what to expect with them. I've never used outplacement services before. Any advice or input??

I found the outplacement services from Right Management extremely helpful. You only have 30 days access to it so it is good to be able to focus on it during that time, and not be distracted by other things, to get as much out of it as possible.
What outplacement services, I've heard nothing yet from Penna despite them getting details about 2months ago.
Definitely take advantage of the outplacement services that Shell offers you. It's an opportunity to improve your resume and interviewing skills at least.
A waste of time.
I was given Lee Hecht Harrison to use. For the most part it was "How to use the internet to job hunt" but at least it was a physical office.
Right Management is ONLY a legal check in the box for Shell to hopefully avoid lawsuits for terminating people. The service itself isn't worth a damn. They're a bunch of online module makers and lazy asses that "work from home (I.e. turn their computers on and wait for a phone call). Then they laugh at the fact that you are actually serious about finding another job.
Agree with everything said here. Right Management is pure TRASH.
I was also hoping it was job placement too. This is a joke. These guys are work from home Yankee consultants that don't have a clue about our business.
Dang!!! I was hoping it was like head hunters
Yeah it is not really "outplacement" but rather coaching. I don't find it useful at all. The guy told me they are doing the same for the other companies. I was like you are preparing me and the competition?
