Thread regarding HP (Hewlett-Packard) layoffs

Messing with your pensions

HPE is freezing how years-of-service points apply to retirement/vesting calculations. One more move by the company to screw over its employees. Being laid off might not be the worst thing ever, because it means not having to work for a company that holds its employees in such low regard - not providing simple COLA wage increases or any bonuses (what are those?) even when the company is making money. Now we find that anybody who has not been vested in their pension will be frozen out.

Customers and employees should both run from HPES, if you value your future. Find a new job before you get your 2 days notice from Ciber with your 30% pay cut offer.

I heard that in many cases Ciber will offer much lass than 70% of the current pay (30% plus cut)
