SLB is very good at CUTTING JOBS. MANY CAM employees will be laid off. Do not believe all the BS they tell you at those meaningless town hall meetings! Your best course of action now is to begin a FRANTIC job search. And please look outside the oil & gas industry as that industry will be DOWN for a while!!!

Look at what SLB did to Smith and Camco and then relax. You have no idea but the steamroller is coming for you. Doesn't matter what SLB knows or doesn't know. They don't know that they don't know and you will long be unemployed before they have a clue. They don't care.
@150941 - You may RELAX at you own RISK!!! SLB is VERY SHREWD when it comes to job cuts. CAM will be no exception!!!
This will get ugly in early 2016....
To add on to what I just wrote, I heard the Berwick Aftermarket field service group took a 40% pay cut a few weeks ago and they lost their company trucks. Times are hard.
Gezz, relax my friend. We need to stay calm and rational. This is a first for Schlumberger and have no experience in most of the fields they purchased from Cameron/OSS. If you are HR and IT sure update your resume because you can't carry two groups from SLB and Cameron, but most others will be just fine.
People on here need to relax, but I do think almost all will be asked to take a pay cut in the 2nd quarter if we do not pick up some projects.
