Thread regarding Scientific Games Corp. layoffs

Here it comes...

Wait for it, wait for it...

  1. No raises.

  2. 2 bad quarters, back to back.

  3. Marginal to low sales.

  4. Lots of hand wringing and staring at shoelaces lately.

Start the musical chair music Ralph, I think there's a wrist cutting session about to begin.

my manager was a tester. he never care about my team.. no idea on coding. if the blame comes , he will get the mail from the individual employee... Don't know how he is getting promotion every year with bonus. Even the topper of his team is not able to get the promotion. Quality of the work is coming down every day. SQA is filling 60 bugs for every game become normal. only rumour or wrong opinion is spread between the team. higher level manager are recording the personal talk.

All the positions at that career fair are for online gaming. That's the only part of the company still with potential. The rest of the company needs "synergies" completed before the rest of the year. What that means is listen to your gut and get the heck out of dodge already. Such a poison company and the leadership is now made up of a tight group of good ol boys that make closed door decisions to support their own pockets. By now they all should have realized that buying and merging half of the industry still can't save a sinking ship.

Nah, G2E means nothing to strategic plans. They will cut jobs regardless of events and company outward appearances. The cuts will keep coming based on SGMS' performance. Probably through late 2016 at a minimum.

Take a breather from worrying about things for a bit. I'm sure that the axe will be put aside until G2E is over. Hopefully no one is sharpening it in the meantime...

Could be another round, but so many are fleeing the sinking ship on their own that it might not be necessary.

SGMS stated publicly that they are "on track" for the synergy target for 2015. Unfortunately, what they didn't say is that they are way-off target for 2016 and 17.
