Its very quiet work wise in Manchester cant believe we have had no layoffs. Heard we were going to get a lot of work from Springfield and possibly Willis when they shut down, but so far not a lot. Also talk of equipment and machinery being shipped over from these places. Does anyone know any more

What a load of rubbish, the moyno product is out of date and is no longer a profitable product line, NOV has invested $60m in a new facility in the UK which can handle all of the PC PUMP business and a lot more, why keep an old expensive facility running???????
Strike had nothing to do with this closure. Explain Willis Texas our sister company & its demise? Non union brand new facility all new equipment & it is gone as well. They wanted Moyno closed so Mono could push it's Easy strip pumps. Most of the Moyno product line will not continue once the doors are closed that has nothing to do with labor issues.
I did say when we went on strike a few years back in would come back to haunt us no one wants a troublesome workforce.
The only disaster associated with Springfield is the fact that it is being closed. It continues to print money and be a cash cow, being more profitable than any of the other comparable locations combined. I would say that NOV will regret the day that it actually closes those doors but I don't believe those making that decision are smart enough to realize it. Either that or they won't be in that same position when this in fact becomes a reality.
Springfield is a disaster at present machines have long been neglected & broken. Product that was to go to Canada the Canadians don't want because the equipment is a total write off. They extended everyone's layoff dates because Moyno customers are in a panic due to the Mono pumps being crap in terms of quality. So we are buried in millions of dollars in orders so they can stock pile to avoid buying Mono pumps.
