What will happen to the H1B Immigrant employees that came from Coimbatore India like me? Will they continue to sponsor our permanent visa process? Any idea? What SLB or Cameron will do?

Time to go home,no one supports residency type visas when Americans are loosing their jobs,,,
Good riddance... Worst IT Group I ever had to deal with.
SLB will layoff 85 to 95% of the IT folks in 6 to 12 months, considering their past track record

I initially thought 148709 was totally absurd and ignorant on the Green Card Process, but I googled and found out 148709 is 100% correct

Now a days Green Card process takes 10 to 15 Years and periodically you have to spend $$$ to renew your case, so do you think SLB will hold this liability of carrying you for 15 years and also spending for you and once you get a Green Card any how you will jump to another company, so do you think SLB will do this for you !!! Let we be practical and use the common sense, one of my Indian friend recently jumped to another company owing to this and I made his reference, that's how I know this details.
and what about H1B employees that have already applied and currently are in progress for the green card application sponsored by Cameron?
I am sorry, but in a major acquisition like this, the bigger company will always want to cut down the unwanted expenses, whatever sort of expense it might be like Travel, Visa Sponsoring, Consultants etc etc. For e.g. you might have seen SLB didn't buy the divisions or plant that are not profitable, same will happen for the employees too and there is no excuse. Better to find a good ship, before you are thrown out in the middle of the water.............
