i am sitting in p&t in woodcreek. One of my colleague left while doing pip one month ago. After he left, my boss picked me and go through the pip. Is this p&t strategy to cut off the people? Want to share what you heard. Thanks.

Give some examples of petty things people are on PIPs for...
Anonymous150163 same here... I got the whole business decision speech too, even with a 1.0. I don't think Shell can find 30% with under a .85 so they start targeting others. But remember, this is a right to work state. They really don't need to give you a reason to let you go. And PIPs are yet another tool to justify severance. The funny part is that if you see what people are on the PIPs for you'd laugh.
At least the people given PIPs have gotten a reason for the axe. My job was mapped in the new org and my IPF was 1.0 and I am still being laid off. When I questioned what was going on all I got was "it is a business decision"
What the hell is that?!? Any insite??
PIPs are bullshit and are given to the lowest hanging fruit. And I was cut because of one. My IPF was higher than .85. It was actually a 1.0. I got the whole, "We are cutting you for your recent performance" bullshit. Rhetoric my ass. Anyone posting anything positive about Shell can go to hell.
I have to agree with Anonymous147399. As a manager in P&T and CWI I've handed out several PIPs over the years and only around 3% resulted in employment terminations--and believe me, you really have to put effort into being terminated.
A PIP is a PIP
PIPs don't eliminate employees. Clearly you're a site troll. Get a life.

Based on your rhetoric, your employment should be terminated.
