Does anyone know what the new assistant dean (AD) position's job description is? They replaced the program lead positions with the new AD, but the PLs (as much as we may not have liked what they did) were busy!

They kept many of the oddball ones and got rid of the normal ones, so I guess the requirement is to be a weird liberal and you get to stay. Glad I'm gone.

AD Job Description: 1. Continuously update RIF list based on murky criteria. 2. Frequently revise grading policy to ensure that no drug-addicted, felonious illiterate is left behind. 3. Monitor (and edit as needed) "attendance" tracking to guarantee full access to Title IV funds. 4. Discipline instructors who are unable/unwilling to teach the unteachable (or even get them to show up). 5. Create the illusion of productivity and value through repetitive, useless tasks. 6. Issue demeaning, ambiguous emails to "motivate" academic staff. Did I miss anything?
No, the assistant dean positions are filled by those people who were the program directors. All program leads were laid off. That is what had happen weeks ago.
