SYNTEL making Saturday as working days ..

Due to shrinking revenue SYNTEL is going to make Saturday as working days. Top management has already made 24/Oct and 12/Dec as working days to cover up some revenue for this Quarter. Further from Q1’ 2016 – only 2nd and 4th Saturdays will be off and rest all Saturdays will be working. This is another example of management policies which are pro-employer and against employees.

Top management get their benefits such as stocks and make employees work like slave to increase their own benefits. SYNTEL is named as 1 of the top 5 worst paying and work culture IT company.

Syntel is deducting money for transport services that the company provides, Employees are forced to travel in Non AC buses with uncomfortable. Seats, even after paying 2000 rupees a month , only adding to the frustration after a hard day at work.

30-40% work done here generates no revenue and is done free of cost. In the name of value add lot of high end high value work like architecture , design, test automation are done free. No estimation during bidding no accounting of work done and revenue during delivery.

Imagine architects get highest pay and his services are not billed(some thing wrong with architect or sales people) Even Business intelligence architects are free . Trainees can be architects (not a joke).

Test automation guys get premium pay and their services not billed. or under billed (billing given for one automation engineers and 5 test automation guys work on it that too highly paid)

There are people who are on bench serving notice period. These guys are not letting people go just for sake for head count. This is slavery and not letting people.

1800/- per month is dead cheap it should be at least 5000/- Canteen charges can be doubled easily and individuals should be charged extra if they take more time to do the work assigned as they are consuming power and other infrastructure excessively.

Staff on bench should be paid only basic salary for 2 months max after that it should be automatic firing as in techm.

Transport changes were increase 1800 /- long back (@ 6 - 8 months back). There were plans to stop transport facility completely. SYNTELLITES are like daily wages people, who were getting fired anytime.

The great indian revenue trick.

Are we more efficient if we do same work in less time or same work in more time. last year it 9:15 min work hours and now this

Soon the Indian managed companies may start asking government to legalize slave labour as in china.(imagine software labour camps).

Imagine All intelligent and talented people implicated in false cases sent of to work for free in software labour camps.

Congrats, Will there is be in increase deduction towards transportation from the present Rs1200/-

Management should consider increasing the bus charges and canteen lease charges (as well as kickbacks) as canteen con-tractor will make money now and bus con-tractor will incur addl expense.

We should use the opportunity to double the transportation deduction and increase the revenue and profit.

More creative ideas that can help increase revenue and profit (without actually doing more business) will be greatly rewarded.

For fixed bid projects - how working of Saturdays will increase revenue. The easiest short term solution is reduce the head count by laying off which in long term becomes a big pain in the a** when there are no one to show the strength...this is what has happened to Wipro in 2008-9
