How does the actual act of communicating that you've been laid off happen? Do they call you in a conference room? Who is there? What do they tell you? How long does it take. I am extremely nervous, been with HP for 4 years and I am expecting to be laid off, most folks in my group (HPE INF) are telling me that we will be decimated, so I have no doubts that I might be laid off.

E-mail from my boss's boss on Friday regarding a conference call with him and my boss scheduled for Monday.
Mine came from a call with my manager and was considered a WFR with severance of about 11 weeks total overall. I had basically 2 weeks to get things in order before being disconnected from the intranet. Benefits end on your last day of official employment and do not carry over to the 11 week time-frame. If you get rehired inside HP within the first 60 days, it is like you never left. Good luck to all.
Call with a couple of managers on the line, then an email. If it does happen, will feel out of the blue.
Call then an email
Some teleworkers in ES were scheduled a conference call and then it was canceled and it just came down to an email with the necessary information.
