Thread regarding HP (Hewlett-Packard) layoffs

Lets leave with dignity

This sounds awful, I have been watching this site for days and just reading pure craziness, some of these people act like they didnt have a life before HP. O have been here 5 years. 5 years ago if did't make a lot but all 4 of my kids were fed clothes and had a roof over their heads. The money is great but let's keep our heads on straight this stress and worry every one has can get someone injured or even killed if we are worried about being laid off all the time. When you are always worried your performance suffers. So sorry to all that have been laid off and all those who are going to be. Lets leave with dignity!

The people you are lecturing are not responsible for the situation.

@Anonymous170604: That's just the way the cookie crumbles in the putrid world of HP. I worked 4 years staying in late, making ends meet no matter what, working during weekends at time and I never got reimbursed for my hard work. I was made redundant by my manager while all his buddies who slack off and half-ass their work are still there today probably getting great salary increases and bonuses.

Good news is that there is a light at the end of tyr tunnel. I found a great paying job that made me relevant, valued and -more importantly - happy.

Agree, it is hard to leave with dignity when HP strips you of your dignity. My husband received a text. Hows that for professional? He had been told he was safe last week, then laid off a few days later. He was lied to. The boss protected his buddies. One guy is known as a complete slacker but he gets to stay because he is a brown nose. My husband still has to work for two weeks. How is that "dignified"? It is just downright cruel and disingenuous.

How do you leave with dignity when HP works you to death, and then they discard you like an old rag? Please tell me, where is dignity in HP layoffs? We will see HP lay off even more people in 2016, things will not get better, I have no doubt.

My dear brothers and sister, I feel your pain. This news saddens me a ton, I have work with you people, and the experience you all have and shared is one that cannot just be replaced easily. What happens now is extremely poor management by the almighty, and it will come back to bite the company (not them of course), to them we are just numbers, but to me we are all humans. All the best to you all.
