It's all about the bottom dollar - some top execs getting a bonus for meeting goals, and then they're gone. All infrastructure will be outrourced to Agile (whoever they are - never heard of them - and I worked for some of the more reputable firms before BD). Many more will lose their jobs between JAN-MAR... and not just IT. Carefusion outsources a LOT of support services... and it seems that BD management thinks this is a good idea.... if you think you'll get picked up by the sourcing company... HAHA! I used to work for large ones.... yeah.... that was a mixed bag back then, and tech people were at a premium... today, they can get people from Malaysia, India, Ireland, wherever... that cost a third of what you get paid. You won't get an offer. Get real. This is no longer the company that holds the Becton family values.... it's the company of GE and Carefusion that only bows down to the almighty dollar. This says it best - and it's exactly right "This reorganization mess is a reflection of poor management and has nothing to do with whether or not the employees are engaged or high performers. Certain people ate being targeted with no explanation why. It's all who you know. The chosen will get to keep the high paying positions, or be given new opportunities and they can care less about the others. Thdy dont care how their shortsidedness effects the lives of good hardworking people. It's not personal, it's business, right?" mixed blessing - not sure I'd want to live in the brave new world that has been created. It's not the same company anymore. The Old BD was great.. .this new thing - well, it can't ever live up to the Becton family values. Time to move on, let it die a slow death.

Only handful will make it to HCL because they are not going to pay many what they are currently making. GE and Carefusion, well Carefusion was NOT like this, Carefusion was an awesome company, I was there from it's spin off from Cardinal Health, we got things done why they sold out to BD is just insanity. I hope Kieran is enjoying his life as BD puts us all to the curb like garbage. I saw through BD from the moment I saw Vince's smiling face on the TV and D err Rick Pierle came to talk to us in an 'open forum'. One of the first IT townhalls we had the video on their crappy MS Lync conferencing systems was embarrassing. Their IT is terrible, not the people, the people did the best they could with what they had but IT in general was just handled well. CFN, we rocked the house with out IT abilities and know how. I can say, BD officially sucks.
