Thread regarding HP (Hewlett-Packard) layoffs

HP is almost too big to fail at this point

REPOST: You have to remember, these people (corporate executives and directors) are all networked... While Meg might be CEO of HP, she's also likely sitting on the board of a dozen other companies. Their prerogative isn't to make companies better, but to increase stock prices and make sure when they fail, they only fail upwards. It's sociopathic behavior, enabled by obscene wealth and power. If her actions cause HP to crumble, she and her buddies will simply move on like locusts to the next target (of course, HP is almost too big to fail at this point, though), while collecting their golden parachutes and milking these corporations to the bitter end.
