I'm living the dream. I'm trying to move on to browner pastures. You don't need greener pastures to step up from RJ's culture or Andy Zolper's leadership.

I've not worked at RJ and Andy Zolpers group for years, but I can tell you as a woman in technology. This is NOT the firm or group you would ever want to work in! This boys club and abusive culture toward women seems to be still going strong based on all the posts on the main RJ page.
Well, this s---s. This is what I get for googling my own name. My name is Andy Zolper and I'm NOT this guy. I'm the Andy Zolper that lives in IL and MI and works for BMWNA. It's lovely to read that a
someone out there with my name is a well known D--k.
And his department keeps expanding!
I'd bet my life savings Anonymous170591 is AZ. And if by some slim chance it's not then it's someone else in the inner circle . So middle finger all the same . Rules with fear, pays with bread crumbs, keeps most of the bonus and raise purse for himself justifying it with bullshit performance reviews. But hey, he has kids in college and a house in Venetian Isles to pay for so f*** everyone else. Unless you're an old friend from UBS. If you're in a staff or analyst position and think you'll ever move up think again. All current leadership under AZ was hand selected and brought in by him from outside. There are way better options available. It's a hot market, don't work where you're unhappy, underpaid, and at a place with no room for advancement. Sorry Anonymous170591, but we already knew how excited you get when someone leaves the firm - whether on their terms or yours. We do appreciate you confirming you're one of the megalomaniacs running IT there though and this post is monitored. Know you're hated by many, liked by few.
The people in this dept that breeds negativity are TF and AZ. Ever have a conversation with him? The personality of a pumpkin. Is he innovative? Sure, if it comes with an all expense boating adventure. He's invested over a million plus dollars in an RSA product that hasn't worked for 2 years and he keeps telling us it will. What he fails to tell us is that the purchase comes with an all expense paid "charity" fishing event every year in South Florida somewhere with a stay at a high end hotel for the week. He is the charity. And since this is a vendor related event, the time away doesn't even count towards him. His being innovative comes with a price tag.
I concur with you security man. The dept is run with poor leadership. People have continued to leave over the past 12 months due to our leaders. The Insight survey again spells it out. Who or why would ANYONE want to work in a department that is obviously managed so poorly? The threat team is now run by rookies. The original SOC staff has all been dismantled. Fresh blood is good sometimes, but in due time, all the new faces will see the writing on the wall and decide to leave. They don't even pay market value in Security at RJ, and couple that with Todd and Andy as leaders, explains the near 75% turnover rate over the past 24 months. For those of you staying, I applaud you for sticking it out, but I can assure you that there are better jobs in the area. Are you happy getting up every day going to RJ? Are you happy being overworked and underpaid? Are you happy providing 24/7 support because this multi-billion dollar corporation can't staff around the clock? I can assure you that you can all find better paying jobs, and if the money isn't exactly the same, you certainly can live life more stress free and not deal with the bullshit of Todd everyday. I love going to work now and actually having a leader that I can have a discussion with and is not an a-hole about everything. Life is better
I breed negativity? LOL. I guess you didn't see the insight numbers from the last survey. One person cannot bring down those numbers that far. So let me see...Real high insight numbers and winning top IT places to work 6 or 8 years running with Tim Eitel and real low numbers with Bella and Andy and not even a contender for best IT work places. Fall festival, Halloween party, Gong show, in HO Christmas get together,...with Bella and Andy Zolper, none of those things. All canceled. Tim no layoffs, Bella and Andy Zolper layoffs. Security numbers good without Andy Zolper,...Add Andy Zolper, the numbers bottom out to the worse department in IT. Know why they don't track a straight-up 10% turn over rate any more at RJ? They are way over the best practice 10% turnover rates. They have nearly 300 open positions, most not new hires. IT's budget stayed the same reeforces that number.....You are either really young and new to RJ or are just stupid, which won't matter because they will manage you out. I laugh at your statement every time I read it.
SecurityMan
You stifle innovation and breed negativity. You lead the discontent and despondent. Pessimism is bad for you. Ultimately, I am jovial you decided to leave and have sympathy for those who continue to add to the toxicity in the work place.
Andy Zolper does not have people skills, he has Andy Zolper skills.
Andy is a smart person. Yes, his leadership definitely needs improvement. The survey spells out a major downfall in that organization. Personnel continue to leave for obvious reasons. 75% turnover in the past 2 years, including management and good leaders. If he were a true leader, he'd recognized the issues prior to things ever making it to this board. He'd figure out how to maintain good people. He'd realize that TF is a major problem. They treat staff like they are both still in the marines and talk down to everyone.
Bella's Bishops
Yes. Never trust Andy Zolper. He is a jerk.
