Layoffs have begun in the sanford plant, in the bcp area. This is building construction production.
Hello-
Can we confirm types of roles at Caterpillar and if any in NC? We have openings here in Raleigh for field service engineers, project managers and lead project engineers.
It has already started at Aurora, IL Several great management persons have been laid off / let go.
Actually, Mossville houses office space for IPSD (small-Medium Engines) and LPSD (Large Engines built mostly in Lafayette Indiana). The IPSD side is expected to grow next year and has already been in cost reduction mode since early last year and still making a profit. LPSD is in the trash like the mining group is. So half of Mossville will get more layoffs than the other half will. Since IPSD is still making money, i would expect few layoffs at the Seguin plant in Texas, where they are built.
Any idea if Singapore Reman plant would be affect?
Is there info available on the individual plants regarding #s for layoff and/or closure?
So do you think these plants will close or just have layoffs?
