Buddy system in full effect, uneducated, no mgt experience mangers with degrees from Everest yet another way they fudge placement rates... Definitely never telling anyone I work here... This company is complete scum for taking advantage of the economically challenged and impressionable.
Well said 011. That is the reason many for-profit and non-profit schools are closing schools and consolidating others. Enrollment in all postsecondary education has been in decline. Enrollment at traditional colleges has declined by 10 to 20 percent with career schools declining by 20 to 40 percent. Add the negative publicity Everest and WyoTech have received and you understand the problems Zenith is facing. They knew from the beginning that keeping all the schools operating was impossible. The first six months was the evaluation period to determine which schools would be among the 30 to 35 schools to remain. This whole process started a year ago. If you doubt me, check out when ECMC applied for the incorporation of Zenith Education Group Inc. Zenith Education Group was incorporated in September 2014.
Not defending shady practices, but there is plenty of blame to spread around. The height of the for-profit market was 2007 - 2010 when the economy was down. Many more motivated and capable students. As the economy improved, fewer students felt the need to go back to school. Rather than adjust to economic reality, senior management responded by lowering academic standards and forcing admissions to maintain - or increase - enrollment run rates. The result is the mess we have today. Admissions employing questionable tactics to enroll questionable "students" who receive a questionable "education". It's a house of cards propped up by DOE......for s while longer.
At the end of the transaction at a car dealership the customer gets something to show for. In the Everest world the customers get a fat student loan and nothing to show for. Car dealership sales people are by far better than the Everest scums.
Please don't insult used car salesman by comparing them to Zenith Admissions Reps.
