Business schools will soon case-study how a company with bright engineers were run to the ground by management of yes-men with subpar technical and no market awareness. Intellectual property left in the hand of remaining management is like handing the keys of the space shuttle to chimps. There is hope in Avago of no-nonsense fat trimming. Execs and freeloaders still hiding in roles evacuated by others will soon float like oil spills to the top. Pure technology will once again be purified by Avago's filtering process. Great people are still left at Emulex; don't look for them in the top executive layers.

I am still at Emulex, now Avago, and know exactly which of these yes-men executives and managers being referred to here. Hoping the Avago change cleans that up. Great coworkers among the laboring ranks. I am glad for that.
It's time to move on. Look forward towards opportunity and let go of regrets. Don't get consumed by the tragic outcome of the bad choices others have made in the past. Peace.
