Anybody hear of this today? Just heard that DTR Tecs got laid off and it was base off GPS score. What a GPS score???

The new scores came out and chuckie postponed the all hands meeting so people can soak it in. And yes the numbers have gone up. Plus walgreens make you cut your overtime down but still work late by going home early the next day. Or if you go out on a weekend day they will make you take a week day off.
Who's decision was it to have DTR take over the photo dept. vendor service , anybody know?
I am one of the 48 techs that got layed off , the real blame goes to the management that decided to take over the job of the vendors servicing the photo dept. 10 years ago it wasn't nessasary other than for there own benefit , if they left the depots as they were there would be no need for layoffs because we would not be over staffed with tech's when the service went back to the vendors.
48 techs let go nationwide. I'm sure that's not the end of it as the director walked right around that question in usual fashion... Two area mgrs and one more regional let go. If you didn't get cut this time around consider yourself lucky to be a part of this company for another x amount of months...
I have a feeling that there is more to come and its not the end of it. It seems beauty and pharmacy is there interest and everything else is left behind. I believe in my own opinion that Walgreens will have self check to cut back on employees and fired way to fire people for small things as being late. If people want to keep there job then be on time, because they have a new rule being late is half a absent. This be way get rid of people
The gps scores are a joke that we all knew was originally implemented to just give them something to go by when they decide get rid of people. The techs are being graded by first visit resolution percentage mainly. Something that for the most part is out of the techs hands in many situations. How exactly are we supposed to fix every ticket the first time when the parts they provide are garbage? I'll tell you how, you cheat the ticket system. All fs gps scores are showing is who knows how to cheat and who doesn't. So in this case the honest employees are being let go. They are also being scored(but supposedly not graded) on phone fix resolution percentage(sorry but isn't that the help centers job? two phone calls to the store seems time wasteful in many cases and is frustrating for the stores), ticket working time(this varies so much it's not even funny. some pharmacies it takes 10 minutes just to be let inside, or you are on hold with bs india hc for 20 mins, then spend another 15 min just trying to understand them, how is that the techs fault?) And when it all comes down to it you can have one of the best scores in the entire nation and it means nothing when it comes to raises or promotions(cause chuckie the great will change the rules at the last minute) but by god have a low score and we'll cut your sorry butt. I'd like to see some of these people being let go band together and hire an attorney, there's no way this system would stand in court.
