Why Canada? I thought it was all going to be regulated to OKC in the IT and Land departments. What positions were eliminated in Canada?

Devon can get the hell out of Canada anytime it wants,sooner the better. Heavy Oil supported a lot of their plays in the US in the past,money that left Canada.

Canada is not a core play for any O&G company in the near term. With the current WTI prices, heavy oil is even more challenged - why would Devon or any other company want to grow its workforce there?

This is the second round of layoffs, first round was last week for individuals and today was mostly supply chain related. Not entirely sure if other departments were affected.
