Wow!!! Our campus President advised us that he/she was putting their job on the line but had to do it out of good faith and ethics. We were advised that Everest is in a troubled state, that he/she did not know how long the ship will last, so we should all start looking for new jobs. I was not surprised bg the comments but i was just relieved and gracious that we were praised, thanked for our service, then able to just digest what this means to us. Today i advised everyone of you who has families, bills, or other mandatory obligations to just decide whats best for you. I had to decide if i want to hope for a job for the next few years or do i want to search for a more stable career. We all saw many good people let go because of financial cutbacks but the question is would your view change if it was you. I hope everyone could have as much dignity as our campus president and just allow all personnel to decide their own fate.

Wait - are you guys saying that ECMV is in trouble? Damn! Who knew?
722: Zero employees too.
Totally agree- if one looks at the caliber of newly placed CPs in the FL region, they are qualified only to operate in teach out mode - not growth.
Any campus in trouble they bring in finance not academic leaders. If a campus is to prosper they bring in Academic leaders.
We were unlucky enough that our RVPO who makes the bad hires for all his campuses is neither!
The bitch CP we wound up with has a finance background not academic and says in meetings her job is only overall operations of the campus and only regurgitates info that the real managers tell her. When the dean and Registrar quit, this campus will be dead. The end is here. The fat lady is singing. The bubble has burst.
Teach out mode is the only mode Zenith can operate. Slowly Zenith will go to zero students. This will make the government and taxpayers very happy.
This titanic mess just hit the iceberg. The sinking is coming up. Each employee has a choice to either get out or sink.
I also find it hard to believe a CP would tell employees of the trouble Zenith is in. Yours may be the exception, but most CP's fly the corporate flag and hold rah rah meetings telling everyone that things are looking good. It shouldn't take someone to tell you how bad things really are, just take a look around. Populations numbers still on the decline, thousands of employees terminated, constant management changes, unethical practices taking place trying to keep students in class, campuses in disrepair and not being updated, closing of more schools, consolidation of departments and eliminations of others. If those things don't convince you the state of the company is in trouble, Google "signs that your company is failing" and see how many signs match up against Zenith Education. There will be more RIF's and teach-outs coming within the next 6 to 12 months. Don't blame your CP or managers for not telling you the truth about the state of the company, it's their job to try and improve employee morale and keep things running as smoothly as possible. If the OP is true, I commend your CP for their honesty because they just committed corporate suicide.
Titanic? Don't you mean the S.S. Minnow?
The Zenith fraud is nothing but a continuation of the CCI fraud. Hawn decided to keep all CCI RVPO crooks. We all know what happened to CCI. The time For the Zenith fraud is shortcoming.
Closing of Zenith is no brainer. The only thing in question is when.
Did your Campus President also reveal to you that the sun shines in the daytime? That water is wet? That Pro Wrestling is fake? You shouldn't need a campus pres to confirm what is obvious to the most casual objective observer.
I was in this same meeting. Out of respect i can see why you did not mention his/her name because they did risk their jobs to advise us. So i think you for being loyal.
Definitely not the Dallas president. He is such an idiot thinking that this gig will last for a long time. He keeps telling all employees that everything is going to be just fine, while enrollments and population are getting lower and lower.
I also call BS. I believe the message ( a blinding flash of the obvious....) - I just don't believe any Campus Pres would say it out loud, unless it was their last day.
The Everest ship has been sinking for years. That's why an outside "real" full-time job is a necessity while you continue full-time with Everest. Then you'll have nothing to worry about when Everest sinks completely. Been there and managed the BS Everest gig. After all, we never taught...just tried to keep our Talisma and Skype numbers up.
Um, where have you been the last 2 years? Everest was doomed long ago......
Well, we know for sure it is definitely not the Skokie President! She could care less about ethics or morals!
Sounds like it might be the truth. we seem to be in teach out mode, so I just wait for the quarter they let me go. I'm fortunate, I don't need this job, it just helps with expenses. I had hoped it would last because I like the work, but realistically it probably can not. When they never changed the name, I knew it was a teach out. Anyone who needs this job to live on, should definitely be looking for a job. It is the only move for them. I still hope that school can pull it out, there's a lot of good people here, no matter what people say on this board. I do wish they would put more out to let us know what's happening. When you are an adjunct, you really know nothing, this board sadly is all there is for information, and many are too bitter to pass on the truth. But the truth can be gleaned from this board and at least that gives us some news.
