I worked as an admin and accounting for them, they closed all Texas, shut down their Texas operation, they are owned by a Canadian owners.
Numerous workforce claims we were told to fabricate information, many employees either resigned or were let go, as the company hadn't been able to make it for years.
Its a very poor outfit, glad I was laid off and moved onto another accounting position, stay away from any Canadian ownership group.
This thread is awesome. Everything dates back to 2015 & 2016. Now look at what has happened?!? Tucker shuts down in the US and Canada, STEP who bought Tucker said forget it we cant complete. WFD has shut down Open Hole in the US and whos left standing???? RECON. Still in business in both Canada and the US. Still getting called out and from what I hear going to turn a profit in a sh– year.
Looks like the others raced to the bottom on price and put themselves out of business.
Official RECON company has shutdown in OKC, closing that district, Canada is close to shut down.
In the end the market determines which providers will stay around, if you have sh-- services and lousy personnel, you end up shutting down......
its funny I found this thread on here about recon, in OK as a site manager the coined phrase was Oh No Not Recon... they were well known to bridge on wells and Junk wells...that's what happened on my hole, so painful to explain to managamnet why are these clowns sent out here and I have to sort out the problems, then after would be their exorbitant invoicing practices.

The worst openhole logging company ever, I believe they gave shut down in the US thank god. they bridged off on 3 of my wells & junked 1.
I can't stand them good riddens. Buyer Beware, when the price is too cheap reconsider why they wan to be that cheap, they need anything they can get!!!
I had these guys out on my rig in KS not too long ago, I usually use Tucker or Weatherford, our Geo really got sold on these guys on a freebee price, they bridged off, cost my operation 10 hours rig time, then they handed me a logging invoice 20 times more than anyone else would charge me for standby.
Weatherford or Tucker almost never bridge off and never charge me standby, any operator stay away from reconpetro.
the company ended up junking the past 3 wells for their customers & now sold off their entity recon is no more in the US.... a victim of bad service good riddens!
Buyer beware with this Openhole Logging Provider, they are broke and do not get called out on many jobs, they will always inflate their tickets as their quotes are real low, like $2000 to $4000 to get the work, then they will suddenly inflate their tickets with loads of standby or tool damages. when companies go broke like this outfit, they look at ways to scam the unfortunate customer who calls them out.

I worked as their OKC lead CH manager worst company ever, president and vice president lied about their credentials, total scam company.
SHUT Down their Texas offices, completely out of Texas and now have 1 or 2 old units in Oklahoma left, scary who ever calls out these clowns.
Also I guess they are from Calgary Canada and their head office is located in a 1950's flea bitten motel in the seedy part of town.
Lots or workforce labor issues in both countries I have been told, buyer beware!
I quit working there few yers ago as there is no future wih them. but she lived through the last downturn, hopefully this one too as i still have some friends with them.
I was sent spam emails & viruses from that company making Ponzi scheme investment offers. I would delete any emails from that company as a virus.
