...And it's only been about 3 weeks. I hope this tech trend in stock price bubble keeps going up for the remainder of the year or two.

Google give fixed amount of stock units upon signing offer
And grant price has nothing to do with what your RSUs are worth. Grant price only is useful for the purposes (1) vesting period. It's not even part of the tax calculation, which that is determined by vest date. At vest date, you pay ordinary income on the FMV of those RSU shares that vested, and any capital gains above the vest date is taxed at either short term or longer capital gains (depending on your holding period). That's the irony of those RSU shares specifically people that vest at $A and hold, and the stock price goes down to $B. You pay ordinary income taxes on $A, but then you take a capital loss on $A-B...But the gotcha is if your capital gains loss is greater than $3000, you can't use your capital loss above $3000 to offset your ordinary income...You get to carry that over until the next year. Kinda like if you vested Q shares at $80, and then watched it fall to $65 share...
Anonymous117791, you dumbshit. The company awarded me shares when I joined in terms of QUANTITY OF SHARES, not a dollar amount that will be converted to shares. So to given your peabrain an example, if the company awarded me 5000 RSU shares, it's 5000 shares irrespective of how much the shares are worth. As part of my negotiations, I took the FMV of each share when I was negotiating divided that by how much I wanted to get out of it over 4 years, to arrive at 5000 shares, which they agreed. Since the time I negotiated that offer, the share price has increased by 15% even before I joined.
The only thing dumber than a dumbass like yo,u is a dumbass that thinks others are dumbasses when in fact you are the dumbest of the dumbasses, you fvcking dumbass.
How would you know the rsu policy of his new illuminious company
Idiot.
Stock price for your RSUs are based on the grant date, which will be either August or November 20th, depending when you start.
If you're able to predict the price of QC on those dates, you're joining the wrong company.
No bubble in biotech. Not at far as Janet Yellen can see or print.
