Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Can't believe how racist people are at Q.

I am truly shocked that I have been working among people so toxic.

Anyone focusing on race and generalizing attributes of someone race is and work ethic is to blame much like you OP. Race shouldn't be an issue for you if you are doing all that you can for you and yours whether they be white, brown, or yellow. If you lose your job and still do all you can for you and yours your color won't have anything to do with your success or failure, you are guaranteed nothing in this life, go out and get what you can and don't be dependent on the opinion or biases of others.

Damn, better not fly a confederate flag..That's offensive...Damn... With ebay, amazon, walmart, all banning the confederate flag, the only way I can get one these days is by buying it from the only retailer that still respects the american value of freedom of choice.... ALIBABA!

I'm not white, and I hate H1-B. Not the people here on H1-B, but the abuses of the H1-B program by companies. If a company in the U.S. is having financial problems, there's absolutely no reason why H1-B's should be employed while well qualified U.S. citizens and permanent residents here get axed. In any other country, there are laws that would prevent that. And in any other country, foreign workers are the first to be let go. Japan does it, korea does it, china does it, taiwan does it, france does it, germany does it too.

So, we have people complaining about racism and bigotry while using words like "pure American trash". If this is such a bad country, filled with racism, bigotry and arrogance, why are you here? Are those traits not found in your home towns or countries? I've lived in 3 different countries on 3 different continents and this one is byfar the most welcoming and fair to foreigners. Is it perfect? By no means. Is it better than just about anywhere else in that regard? Absolutely.

Your mistake is not that you are on H1B, but that you are not white. Never heard anyone complaining about European H1B visa holders. Most people are nice though, but you encounter white trash once in a while.

How do you know they are all pure American? Racist is no big deal as long as they don't say it in public with real name... It won't change anything. I bet anyone has the ball to say it in public.

If in doubt, just look at what left leaning progressives want to do with affirmative action on one hand while simultaneously quota limiting Asian Americans on the other.

People's true colors comes out under pressure. I am not surprised at all. I even better some if these people are left leaning progressives. Sure equality is great so long as no one is better than me. But oh no, the colored people are stealing my job now.....
