It's not true everybody will find new jobs. Along the those VP's and directors that have support staff that make well below 100K or even 75K. It will be very difficult to find new work.

I am already leading retired life, I have to get out of house to avoid my stinky wife anyway and sitting in cozy window office and getting fat paycheck is very addictive..tough to let it go..
May be you can consider retire earlier. Enjoy your life earlier.
Not all of us ,I am sr staff/manager ( 4 reports) ,pull in ~$230k, out of touch of coding,initial couple year I did lot of interesting stuff, but lately I was mostly doing people pushing/driving stuff. I am looking around but it seems no one need my skills...I need to figure out way to stick around as long as possible and plan to retire when it's over...
With couple hundreds of people with similar skill set in the job market at the same time. Do you know that make people comfortable?
