many Vp's are gone. Chicago marketing department has been laid off and many other despartments.

Please read the latest earnings report from Sci Games. Note the little hint from CEO in the transcripts that there will be an additional $30 Million in cost savings before 2015 is over from WMS alone.
"By July 31, 2015, we had implemented $184 million in Bally-related annual cost savings and, as a result of accelerating actions originally planned for 2016 into 2015, we are raising our first-year target from $188 million of cost savings to an expected $200 million, while also implementing an additional $30 million of WMS-related annual cost savings by the end of 2015."
Expect this to mean that nearly all of the WMS Chicago office will be laided off or that this office is closing. The signs are written on the wall folks. Bally wins. Get out now if you can and say goodbye to the company that you once knew.
Interesting to say- it is funny how when rank and file employees go, there are all kinds of nasty posts and complaints about bloated management.
When mid and higher end employees go, there's one post calling it out plus a reply about another place that's hiring. Is the lack of activity here a function of good severance packages received or does this speak more of the type of people found at higher levels of an organization that they don't cry "woe is me" automatically?
Do these recently released employees hold a greater self belief that they will find another opportunity? Or the last possibility... they do not know this website exists perhaps?
