Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

I'm a low performer but not getting cut

So I'm a low perfomer, and I know it based on TRR and comparing myself with my peers. I had a frank discussion with my director yesterday, and she told me as much as possible, but said our division (healhcare) is safe.

If I were her, I would take the chance to dump me, and hire a replacement, but after next week, I would imagine there's gonna be a hiring freeze, she'd rather keep a mediocre performer instead of getting nuffin.

You should talk to your VP that you volunteer for layout head count. That will be a guarantee I guess....either layoff or fired

I was managing to keep my rating down for last few review period in order to get laid off ( to basically get severance $), what rating can guaranteed to get into this list?
