Layoff has started in Chicago this morning. Haven't heard about other locations yet. Some VPs gone.

Beat the axe! Don't buy anything that's a large ticket item. You'll need the piss-ant bucks for measly cup of Joe, your cardboard 'Why lie, I need a beer' sign you'll be holding near the freeway on-ramp. Make sure you buy a blanket and a Vietnam Vet hat and get a burn barrel setup at your tramp camp. While you're at it, get your food stamp application filled out, your unemployment paperwork at the ready, and your free Obama phone. Oh, and buy a heavy duty tent while you still can. It beats sleeping under the stars when the snow starts to fall. You won't have gas for your car, so sell it now. You could buy a bus ticket out of town, to some place where the economy is better. Reno is a turd, Las Vegas IS the bunghole and Chicago is the toilet. Oh woe is me.
Please read the latest earnings report from Sci Games. Note the little hint from CEO in the transcripts that there will be an additional $30 Million in cost savings before 2015 is over from WMS alone.
"By July 31, 2015, we had implemented $184 million in Bally-related annual cost savings and, as a result of accelerating actions originally planned for 2016 into 2015, we are raising our first-year target from $188 million of cost savings to an expected $200 million, while also implementing an additional $30 million of WMS-related annual cost savings by the end of 2015."
Expect this to mean that nearly all of the WMS Chicago office will be laided off or that this office is closing. The signs are written on the wall folks. Bally wins. Get out now if you can and say goodbye to the company that you once knew.
