Every three months there is a leadership change followed by a large purging of employees. After the RIF Hawn sends out an e-mail thanking the remaining employees for all their hard work and dedication to the students. Telling everyone he believes we are the right track and how they will continue to right size the staff to meet the student population. So far nothing has reversed the steady decline in student population or helped to increase enrollments. Staying with the current trend there should be another change in management followed by another round of terminations coming in September. Following the business plan laid out by Hawn, by years end there will be a consolidation of the remaining schools keeping only the best performing campuses open and teaching out or immediate closings of the worst. It looks like EUO and WyoTech are struggling bad and will be the first to go. Rumor has it that the Blairsville WyoTech will be closing and the remaining students will be transferred to the Laramie campus in January. Daytona WyoTech looks like it may continue to operate, at least for the near future. EUO will continue it's downsizing and may go into teach out. The short term plan was to evaluate the schools to determine which campuses to close. The remaining Everest schools will be reduced by 25% keeping only around 35 of the original 56 schools open.

108 - Good news: The change/purge/defend cycle you describe will not continue much longer. Bad news: In the not too distant future, the final change/purge/defend cycle will be replaced by a heartfelt message from Dave: "Teach-out is really the only option to best serve our (few remaining) dear students. Thanks to all of your for your hard wok. Good luck (snicker, snicker)......"
692: Whatever you say. We all bow to your wishes oh superior one.
just stop it.
Ok 317 how about, the word is instead of rumor has it. There are only a few people that know the exact plan and timing. When information is leaked it doesn't always contain the specifics. Take a look at student numbers at some of the campuses and what that trend has been for the last 6 months. Business sense says they are not going to keep dumping money into schools that haven't shown increases and especially the ones that continue to decline. Make your own judgement call on what you believe, I'm just posting what I've heard.
Dear grammar police, yes, I meant "peddling".
317... Many of the rumors have come to fruition, so why turn your back? You are just some paid shill pedaling BS for management.
I stop reading when you all write, "Rumor has it..." You're starting rumors. Rumors of a teach out, rumors of The Pacific Institute taking over EUO, rumors of a teach out, rumors of this, rumors of that. It's all speculation. Don't buy into it.
Those are 2 of the campuses they plan to keep open. As I stated in my original post the plan is to keep the better performing campuses open and close the worst performing ones.
Without exposing who I am, let's just say there are two campuses in the south, where populations have increased by over 10%. Don't believe all the bs 115108.
The plan is to allow student population to spiral downward to the point where all campuses that remain open will be pushed into. Teach out. This allows DOE to achieve its goal of closing. CCI/ECMC/Zenerhw without having to eat large numbers of loans. If you disagree, please provide two solid examples of Zenith doing something to increase enrollment.
@115112: I am an adjunct and this is the first term I have not received course assignments. I'm sorry to hear of your recent unemployment; hope you land on your feet quickly.
Well, that is the plan subject to minor changes. Zenith will continue operations going forward, only in a smaller capacity.

I agree. I have felt for the last year that we were in a teach out, but not a declared teach out. I am hoping adjuncts post whether or not they got classes. That is an area we are lacking in info. BTY, first Monday of unemployment here. FTF awaiting severance.
