Most of us would be happy with 1% of RSU granted to S&M.
I will work for $0 salary IF I get 5% of RSU given to SM

What do you think will happen if, the already lowest paying tech co. in the town, cuts engineering pay 10% across the board?
They just need to cut your "performance rating" one notch to achieve this.
It won't be enough. There are other costs/expenses (i.e. healthcare, 401k etc..) that associate with live headcounts. The quickest way to cut expenses is layoffs.
Is it the tone already set like party for the executives ?
This was apparently done in 2009 for either Principal or Director level and above, and it does make a difference.
Jacobs and Keitel were at the helm then, though, and the question is what kind of tone Mollenkopf and Davis want to set for the next few years.
Don't forget PJ, he can also become a $1.00 chairman, it won't hurt so much at this point. I am sure he can still afford magnificent gifts to his significant one
