Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

The new ZEG structure

By the end of this year, the plan is to keep the top 30-35 "Everest"schools, and Wyotech in Laramie due to political and legacy considerations.

As for the online programs, and all other brick and mortar schools, they will cease operations. I have said to much already, but felt the need to respond, to all of the speculation.

Of course it's a branch campus- where do you think the WYO is from? Its from Wyoming as in Laramie, WYOming.

476, you may want to check the facts before you write that Blairsville is not a branch campus of Laramie. It is in fact a branch of Laramie and has been since day one.

Laramie's numbers aren't very strong now. The only chance they have of saving Wyotech is to consolidate Laramie and Blairsville. With 200 - 300 students per campus Wyotech is losing huge amounts of money. Daytona has been up for sale a few times in the past because it wasn't profitable so I don't see it staying around. And with Laramie being the main campus and Blairsville being a branch campus of Laramie the restructuring sounds like it might be legitimate. There has been no improvement in enrollment at any Wyotech. In fact, it continues on a steady decline.

Do your research guys; you will find that Laramie is pretty much untouchable, due to WY congressional delegation and their traditionally strong numbers. Secondly, I never more than one Wyotech campus. Third, Hawn never had interest in online education because he said it was"subject to fraud and abuse". If EUO had a future, then explain Everest Phoenix, which had regional accreditation. Finally, I am not "bs" around; I just felt the need for you all to hear the truth. I could get into some trouble just relaying this info to you all, but at least you now know the plan.Good luck.

All speculation as usual. I don't know why people bother creating lies. LOL It's actually pretty humorous.

WyoTech Daytona will go into teach out. Their students can't transfer to Laramie because Laramie doesn't have motorcycle or marine. Didn't mention it because I assumed most understood. With less than 100 students the options will be completing through a teach out or refund. Sorry I left Daytona off the first post.

Why would they shut down all of the online programs? So many students need online classes with their busy schedules and they seem to be popular. It just doesn't make sense.

I'm getting the sense that you are providing legit info, but I hope you're wrong. Makes sense though

After six months of evaluating the schools the restructuring process has been set. They have determined which are the best performing schools to focus all their resources on. WyoTech was close to being closed but it was decided to keep the main campus in Laramie open and give it another year to attempt a comeback. Any non graduated students in Blairsville will be given a choice of transferring to Laramie or getting a complete refund. Sorry to burst your bubble but like we've always been told, it's a business first.
