Yea right? I'm an adjunct, I will spend only so much time working on Everest and it ain't no where near 40 hrs a week. If they increase one area, I decrease another.
Now that the PL's are gone, faculty will be responsible for their jobs too. Get ready for 80 to 90 hours work weeks.
We have way too many PL's. as evidenced by how weirdly nitpicking they are on very minor stuff that really doesn't matter. They must have way too much time on their hands. if they stay, they should do all calling and student outreach, let the instructors teach.
Or maybe it is because students are not enrolling, attrition is high and they do not need you.
