This company thrives on email leadership from the top down.
Here is the path:an issue originates or data is mined at CSC? or whatever new name the alleged support center is called and then sent to Stiglick and the Regionals.
The Regionals then proceed to forward the emails with some pithy inspirational commentary to the Campus CPs who don't know the answers- so the CP forwards the original email to the campus functional managers to save their ass again.
The functional managers in turn reply back to the figure head CP the answers.
The CP then sends the response back out to the fifty people now in the email chain and all pat themselves on the back for a job well done crisis (that really was no crisis) averted and the cycle repeats the next hour or day or whenever one of the upper echelon feels they need to be seen or heard for their own security.
Concept: ELIMINATE CAMPUS PRESIDENT POSITIONS. Many a campus has survived without a CP. Functional department managers can email anything needed to the Regional for direction. Dave put your thinking comb-over on: all competent managers can run their departments but no CP can run all campus departments. You clam you want accountability so minimize the straight and dotted lines and save your non profit money.
If a Regional cannot manage their campuses with functional managers in place then replace that Regional with one who can.
Do the math Hawn. CPs pull down anywhere from $125-165k a year plus benefits. OH MY! You would pocket tons more cash AND make Stiglick and the Regionals actually earn their own ridiculous salaries.
