PLs and some PDs and Chairs with EOU in Tampa got the boot today. I say good riddance!! Been waiting for this for several weeks and glad word finally came down so I can get on with my life with a real school run by people who know what the f*** they are doing instead of these idiots who continue to follow the same Talisma driven management policies championed by Tina, Capt. Jack and the other CCI assholes.

He is definitely saying he was let go too and good riddance to Everest, so ease up on him/her. I expect every quarter I will be let go. If I am, I will enjoy the free time, if not I will do my best to teach. Sorry for those that this is their primary job. I sure would have been looking hard for another job if I were you. I wish they could foresee the future as the rest of us, it is not bright. Everest will be lucky to keep teaching out, let alone try and keep going. I figured they were in teach out since they never changed the name. If they had changed the name, I might have assumed they were going to make a go of it, but they didn't, so teach out it is. The student outreach is stupid, unless you see it from the loan repayment angle. the government doesn't want to repay loans if the school doesn't exist and a student isn't allowed to finish their degree. The loans are forgiven if the school ceases. so they are just trying to get as many through as possible, and they need the students to pay the bills. if I were them, I would get rid of all PL's. just let the teachers teach and see who stays to finish their degrees. If they quit, its on them.

I may be reading this wrong but I believe the OP is saying that he was let go today and he is saying Good Riddance to EUO Tampa not to the people that were let go.

OP - PLs were hired to help at-risk students. Someone had the great idea to change some of them to faculty PLs. They were not given a choice...If they missed just one thing in your classroom, they were threatened to be written up. They did what they were told to do.
Did full time faculty find out today? The term ends next week. Who will submit final grades?
OP, be careful what you wish for. This is not the end of RIFs. You will most likely be terminated in the very near future. With your attitude someone should just kick the shit out of you.
I was told that all PLs were laid off, including me. Some of us were good instructors, but they didn't even bother to try to keep the good ones.

PLs were suffocated by PDs who didn't want anyone to know what they actually had to contribute. PL role never had a chance because it reptd to inept directors who can't wait to start chopping up the faculty
