If it walks like a duck, smells like a duck, and talks like a duck - IT'S A DUCK!! Tell me the difference between Zenith and CCI? There is none. Doesn't this feel like the demise of CCI all over again? If you survived the CCI train wreck, don't kid yourself that Zenith is any different. Get out while you can or risk unemployment. Don't think that you are going to get good termination "packages" like the first Zenith RIF folks did. As time goes on they will have less and less $$$ to hand out. Be smart, think of yourself. Hawn sure is!!

There is no difference between the two. Both of them are a group of crooks. In fact, the same CCI RVPO crooks are still around. How can anyone expect for them to be different?
I think we have seen that Zenith will do every thing they can to limit ANY severance - right down to nothing! I really want to encourage everyone to start finding better work now if you haven't already started. No one can live on unemployment. Zenith/ECMC cares nothing for you!
Limiting severance is easy. Unless a layoff triggers provisions of the WARN act, the company can elect to provide zero severance .
Zenith will find a way to limit the amount of severance when the RIFs come. And, they will come. Let's all remember, these guys are bill collectors not educators.
If you're considering the 8 weeks of pay in lieu of a notice to conform to the Warn Act plus the 2 week severance that would be 10 weeks. I don't consider the 60 days a severance because if it wasn't a law no one would have gotten it. But you are correct that the next group may not get the 60 days if it's less than a thousand employees being let go.
A Socle supervisor got 10 week severance package and a Network Engineer got $20,000.
Who got good termination packages? Unless you call 2 weeks pay a good severance package.
