Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

I love my job!!

I really do like it here at Zenith. I believe that we are on the right course to helping disadvantaged and under-employed people to a better life. All of the executives at ECMC have shown compassion and a great deal of courage in blazing a trail through all of the mess that was CCI and is setting all of us up for success. All of you who feel as I do that our positions at Zenith are a noble cause and we should all stay the course and support all of the changes at Zenith, please reply to my post and show all of the rumor mongers that they are wrong. Zenith matters!

If you all would have spent this much time concerned about the students then we would not be in the situation we are currently in. I pray and hope you all are not working for another Higher Ed system.

OP and 772, if you two are so stupidly happy working for a debt collector and believe your jobs are secure with such a great company why are you checking out this message board called Zenith Education Group Layoffs? This place is for employees that work for Zenith that are concerned about their jobs and former employees that were terminated. Go take another drink of the company kool-aid and snuggle up with King Dave.

Hey OP I love my job too now that I don't have to put up with CCi / Zenith bull shit anymore. It's great working for a family run business where you're more than just an employee number. The big RIF was the best thing that could happen to a lot of us. Don't worry, you will find out what I mean very soon. It feels so good not to worry about if you will have a job tomorrow or who is backstabbing you trying to make you look bad to try and save their job.

772, we will hear you speak the truth about Zenith Education when they take your job away. You say how great they are doing as long as you still have a job. Once you've been terminated you will have a totally different opinion of how they really treat the students and employees.

518: Regarding the quality of graduates, it is closely related to the "quality" of admitted "students". Our minimal "education" efforts aside, you simply cannot teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time, and it really irritates the pig. That said, all of this is ultimately rhetorical when you consider that the real plan is to continue to watch enrollment dwindle to the point that a formal teach out is announced and the DOE can wash its hands of CCI/EDMC without a large loan forgiveness liability.

772, I don't think anyone that was terminated by the RIFs will have anything positive to say. Only the lucky ones that weren't picked are happy until their names come up. Personally, I hope the whole thing shuts down. It is nothing more than an overpriced day care center for idiots, criminals, welfare bums, drug addicts and child molesters. For the price Zenith charges they should be ashamed with the graduates they put out.

Zenith sucks and so does its leadership. I took care of my students and got fired with the latest RIF. The school cares about no one.

I'm glad to hear a positive comment on this board! The layoffs were terrible for those who were laid off, and my heart goes out to them. But no, the company did not lay off all of those who care about the students. They were just in the wrong position at the wrong time. The faculty who I work with care very much about the students.

I keep reading (here) about how terrible the new company is, but I have yet to see this. The changes that I have seen are positive. Zenith has only had the company for just over 6 months. Give them a chance to sort out the mess that was left behind.

893 and the OP are drunk on the kool-aid. They sound just like Mikey Stigshit, stay the course and right the ship. All regurgitated CCi terminology. Let's all go through worthless training on how to be buddies with the poor dumb stupid idiots we call students. We all understand that Zenith is nothing more than an overpriced day care center for welfare bums and their families. Just like everything else in life, everyone makes the team because we don't want to hurt their feelings. My God, what a joke this thing has turned into. Yeah you love your job as a babysitter to a bunch of worthless scum bags.

OP I agree with you. It is a tough path and many are trying to right the ship. Very distressed environment right now, but there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for being positive.

Zenith RIFed all the employees who cared about the students. They were also the people who could blow the whistle on how Zenith is doing things. Hawn and Stigshit didn't want us around to witness the unethical things that will be taking place. I don't know about the rest of you but I refused to sign away my legal rights for a bull shit severance check.

Hallelujah!!!!! A bright spot in this company. I agree with every thing you said about Zenith, our management, course of direction and our under prevliged students. I am happy to support you and will do the same should you elect to profess belief in the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy.

I do wish you could do something about the flat belly advertisements that appear on The Lay Off home page. I have had six of our students call and say our Algebra is just too hard.

OP: What a dumba@@. The true ECMC employees are Hawns pawns and don't know any better. They don't know enough to not know or act any differently- in their perception yes all is rainbows.

The Zenith crew is leftover holdouts, hold ups and friend placements of the same crooked CCi regime. The fat lady is singing loudly for Zenith.

DO NOT CONFUSE ZENITH WITH ECMC- two totally different entities just some smoke and mirror overlap right now.
