What's up guys? I see a lot of views and clicks on this forum but very few comments. Is everybody having fun with the crap going on at Shell? Let's air it out here and encourage one another. I'll know for sure if I still have a job next week but it's not looking good for me with a 1.0 IPF in 2014 :(

@ Anonymous139197 there's no reason to be afraid. If you publicly call out bad management and processes, you are helping to fix the system. It is some of us today.....it may be you tomorrow.
+1
I think everyone is afraid that this site is not as anonymous as one would think. Have you ever clicked on the privacy policy at the bottom of the page? Sheeeed. I do know that I have a lot of $hyt to say but don't want to end up getting Ashley Madisoned. LOL.
There's plenty to be angry and scared about in Shell too. Except noone is talking. Why not? Conoco and chevron are spilling beans and guts all over the net. Why are we so restrained? What are we so afraid of?
If you want to see "lively" comments and posts go check the Chevron section of this site. The head cutting axe is in full swing at Chevron (at least in the Upstream units), lots of anger, fear, anxiety on the posts.
There still remain long timer contractors who are clearly favorites with the leaders. Many of which deliver little of value
Been wondering that myself ... Must be all that puritanical Dutch restraint. 30% is hard for most Shell DW lifers to grasp. Most still believe their managers will work hard to place them. But I don't think outcome in anyway will be fair. Favourites and expats seem to be in the lucky draw. I'd like to see how shell can argue lack of skills and talent and layoff Americans at the expense of Dutch expats.
If they let go only "low performers" that'll be fair...in this low price environment. Thing is the IPF ranking system is flawed. If the number is 30% in UA like I was told, good luck finding 30% of staff with average IPF lower than 0.85 like Anonymous136143 heard
ConocoPhillips is by far the worse, they are clueless. Anyhow, just check out Baker and HAL here, they have lively threads. Our blog is pretty decent and civilized, Baker is horrible, SLB is OK
Little bird told me that on Wednesday all employees will be offered severance. Once that's done it's all the low performers with an average IPF of .85 for the last 3 years. The Artic group is safe.
This place has nothing on ConocoPhillips
