FOSSIL change in Share price

previous CFO MIKE

Joined Fossil year 2000, share price was below 10 dollar back then; Brought up share price to highest ever at 132 dollar.

left Fossil March 2013, share price at 106 dollar, more than 10 times when he first joined. that's the legend he left us with

Current CFO Dennis

Joined Guess 2006, share price over 35 dollar, left Guess end 2012, share price at 22 dollar, reduced by 37%;

Joined Fossil Dec 2012, Share price 106 dollar, Magic happened. now share price at 62 dollar, reduced by more than 41%, the lowest in 5 years.

It requires no time before the share price (share holder's asset) halves. truly excellence.

I think that's basically what the OP was saying, albeit a bit more coherently.

The timeline seems interesting but I do think the key issue here is the lack of management accountabilityt and focus in the top management. There is a lack of understanding from the top in terms of what is fundamental for the company, instead varies not so relevant stories were use to Wall Street to cover the real reason of its fail. Apple watch is not relevant. Fossil is a company that is focused on fashion accessories instead of watch making or technologies. Fossil and apple rain completely different sectors and the target market are completely different. Failure happens when we wrongly position ourselves and try to do irrelevant things such as Swiss, such as wearable technology. Existing products are with bad quality and without fixing that fundamental the management expect to go to the next level with flying colors? No way. And when times at bad, it would already be an wake up call for you guys to put back and focus on your core strength, instead of having one consistent view and direction, lots of irrelevant so called top management, VP and SVP level were placed or replaced, people who really at operational level that does the real work were sacked or leaving with disappointment.

So to make things simple and conclusive, the company is run by morons who don't know what to do.
