Maybe it's just me but it's obvious that all campuses are going under and the head idiots in charge are pushing Instructor Observations, campus tours with ppl that are clueless on education and other ridiculousness. How can you expect a NON EDUCATOR to observe instructors or people that have never been in education to offer advice on running schools. Please feel free to chime in on the ignorance at your campus as well.

As far as the comment about the dean...what campus are you referring to?
6245- I pray you aren't an instructor as you can't spell nor form a complete thought. As the OP with years of quality education my original post was in reference to multiple evaluations in some cases by persons that have never been an educator. As for your comment on the Dean, the one at my campus kept our school afloat for months doing two or three people's jobs at any given time and still is running the campus today.
Josh this sounds like a dean of a campus that does not want to handle his responsibilities. Observations are a important factor in education. You are a person that thinks you are entitled to Not take care of your responsibilities and just be lazy Ass Dean. Do you job and quit bitching anonymously online.
Don't any of you get it? The observations will be used for the next RIF. Being a RIFed past program chair I can tell you from experience that is Stiglich's way of doing things. The more people he can fire for job performance the less he has to RIF. If you are fired you don't receive severance and you aren't involved in the Warn Act which means no 60 days notice needed.
I'm a former PL who was terminated based on my job title. I was an excellent instructor who was made a PL by the biggest idiot I have ever seen in higher education TINA THE ASSHOLE STRAVEDES.
All PLs were supposed to be full time faculty, then Jack's girl "asshole stravedes" came up with a brilliant plan for instructors to call at-risk students every day - 7 days a week. We were given unrealistic duties by ASSHOLE STRAVEDES. She's gone and so are many excellent PLs, like me.
ZENITH SUCKS AND SO DOES TINA, JACK AND ECMC for letting go good workers and keeping poor-performing faculty because they had a faculty title and not a pl title.
It is called the Zenith (or CCI way). What a friggin mess..arrggh.
I asked to be observed but there was no one that had experience in the the subjects to make the observation, just a shoe filler. Inexperience at its best.
Plan an simple education is not the priority. If it were Everest and WyoTech would become credible, quality reputation would be formed (would take time probably years) that would bring in quality students. Quality students want to attend and graduate from the best school in (insert degree) but the ship is sinking. Water had been bucketed out but now anything with weight is being thrown overboard in an attempt to buy time until a miracle happens. Can't speak for the Everests but WyoTech (Ormond) was a joke. Strictly a diploma mill and students that shoulda been suspended or expelled were kept around because the brought money in but the school down. Such a shame
They may not care about the instructors but they do care about THE APPEARANCES- therefore the focus on Inspire Observations- ridiculous that vetted instructors have to be observed at least once a month. No REAL college requires that...maybe once a quarter.
Whack priority- So how about our new CP is driving the Dean crazy here by making us have two sets of faculty files. Idiot- two sets is twice the chance of an audit finding.
The company doesn't give a s about the instructors or anyone else. All they care is the money coming in. For this very reason this s will be closing soon.
Providing education to students and evaluating teachers is not central to the company's mission of generating revenue via Title IV funds. As such, literally no one cares what instructor think about how they are being evaluated.
Teachers used to be observed by PLs who also taught the exact same classes they evaluated. Instructors complained about them too.
