How can I volunteer to get laid off?

Faqs say you can request to be laid off to hr. Hr said in an all hands that there are no guaranteesurprises if you are working on something critical.
It's in the realignment FAQ that you should be reading. Basically it says maybe.
Talk to your manager, they will probably send you to HR and then it's probably up to your
department heads.
It's not an allowable choice.
Slap your dick on HR's desk. Claim your having psychological problems. That way you won't get fired.
