Qualcomm is, however, generally agreed to make the best LTE products on the market right now. Their modems are power-efficient, support any band under the sun, and are typically on the bleeding edge of available network standards and technologies. Even Apple won't touch the modem design business - they still use Qualcomm as their sole supplier.

this board is now just a crappier version of seekingalpha.com. random statements with no context or conclusion.
The intro modem that may replace ours in iphone7 only does rel 10, and no one will notice the difference except Apple, who will welcome the $7 BOM reduction.
I like Samsung's "good enough" LTE solution on the ATT S6 phones. Works fine for me.
