The big ship of Shell's portfolio of oilfield acquisitions, especially recently, has just been hit by a torpedo. The hull is damaged, and there is leaking. But the worst is yet to come. When mother ship Shell starts to wobble, the Wall Street God will insist on full scale bloody terminations and they will come in massive waves. What you are seeing now, is the tip of the iceberg. Finding a job then, will be quite challenging. Get off the big corporate tit now, and find something better. Consider leaving the oil industry. There's more to life than extracting nasty fossil fluids with big plumbing and some electronics. Do something else. Say bye bye oilfield.
