Anyone know what will happen with Online? Is it true the Marketing Contact Center is moving to Tampa?

997, you done better than me. Let go in April after 13 years and got 2 weeks severance. Inconsistencies seem to be the normal with Zenith/ECMC.
@135179 - Don't count on 10 weeks severance. I was let go in July (after 4 years), along with co-workers who had been with the company up to 20 years. We all got the same severance: 4 weeks. The good news is, there are some great jobs out there waiting for you, and you don't have to work term-to-term, worrying and wondering if this is your last one. Start applying for them now. Subscribe to education-related job boards, and you will be amazed at the opportunities! I took a week off, applied for a dozen jobs, and was hired in two weeks, Better job, better pay, better benefits, and a much better company! Working at Everest was like being in an abusive relationship, and I am glad to be free. Good luck to you all.
Thornton is gone at the end of the month. One of two managers AND the HR manager left yesterday. No one is replacing them. All remaining employees should get their resumes out NOW. Open your eyes and see what is going on around you.ECMC/Zenith is consolidating everything in Tampa. You may get your 10 weeks of severance, but don't count on it. Unemployment is in your future.
Look at the RIF's and teaching cutbacks as merciful, you won't have to do the stupid Intelligent Heart crap that is a total waste of time and money, you won't have to wonder when you are going to not get classes anymore, the worry is over. Life is better once you leave, believe me! It just seems like Zenith is normal when you are inside, from the outside you see the problems.
The plan is to reach out the schools. There will be no Zenith by next year.
There are going to be so few students that I suspect there will be few classes. One class isn't worth the pay versus the time. Also a new training just popped up, not sure but it seems mandatory and will take quite bit of time. Haven't heard on being paid for it.
There are a lot of things about Zenith that people don't know or are reluctant to accept. Unfortunately more and more good employees will see these things unfold over the next few months. The biggest surprise will be how surprised and upset people will be when more employees are terminated.
723 is very uninformed and probably a Zenith HR stooge. They posted on the Zenith site as 722. Typical for an HR stooge. I am well aware of the situation - you will have to trust me on this. The center in Thornton is on the chopping block. Currently, it is only half full and legal is working on getting out of the lease commitment. One whole section of the facility is totally empty. Everyone there has been told there is a hiring freeze to keep suspicions like this from starting. However, the reality is that once Tampa has obtained enough people to handle the current call volume, all of the employees in Thornton will be given their walking papers. Zenith never had any plans to keep Thornton open long term. Transition to Tampa was the plan. Look at the history of how Tampa has increased in size while Thornton is shrinking. When Colorado Springs closed most of the positions that opened for transfer were in Tampa, not Thornton. A small number of employees were placed in Thornton working for Socle. Ask yourself - where are these employee now? GONE!!

The Marketing Center will stay here in Thornton. Most things on here i can not confirm but this is one thing i can confirm.
Zenith is in teach out mode. Give it a couple of more terms and you will see that very clearly. Schools are deteriorating and supplies are becoming more scarce. It is also hard to get paper for the computer labs. Toner for the printers is so hard to buy, some of us buy our own. If these are not signs that this thing is going down, I am not sure what else can be more convincing. Good luck.
I suspect there will be a continued reduction in adjuncts equal to the reduction in students through teach out. No mystery there. Once your classes have been taught out, you're toast.
