My job is to collect and monitor the status of the Engineers in Corporate R&D and to get the percentage complete on the research they are doing for determining the most efficient ways to set registers 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 and to keep track of the progress of the Engineers in QCT in implementing the most efficient way to set registers 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 into out next product lifecycle. I set unrealistic deadlines, and constantly bombard the engineers with "what's the current status" emails, so I can update my Microsoft Project and Gantt Chart. Before reporting to senior management , I always fudge those numbers by cutting off 1-2months of development, just so it looks awesome to senior management. I think getting H1-Bs and offshore teams is a great idea. It might normally take 1 engineer here 9 months to figure out and implement the best way to set register 0-7 to value 1. But with 9 engineers in Bangalore or H1-bs, it will only take 1 months to do the same work!
