Do you know what departments? What about field personnel?
I'm getting my information from Devon managers. I'm a contractor and I know I'll be staying because I'm on the SAP upgrade. I'll be here a while, but I know the talk that is going on between the managers. It's not going to be fun. Devon has about 6600 employees. Look for a bout 800 to cut and wells to stop production. IT will be 80% outsourced. They have already move the PMO out of IT. Look for projects to be put on hold. Retirement will be encouraged. Mid Level Managers will be demoted or let go and sections combined. The ration of supervisor of 1 to about 8 will increase to 1 to 25. Lean times until oil comes back. Another huge oil bust is here to stay for several years. Oklahoma Economy will be bad like in the eighties. No Jobs. Lots and lots of notices going out soon. Just be ready and don't be shocked.
One poster said 25%of corporate staff. Another said 800. So which is it? And where are you getting your info?
Where is everyone getting their info? Have they said what departments? Tower only or assets as well?
Any Sr. Managers to go?
Devon will be laying off more than 800 people. It's coming in September.

25% reduction in corporate staff!! Almost half of IT
Hope it isn't true. But with oil at $45 bbl it wouldn't surprise me.
I don't know but Devon has some tight bodied hotties (female) in HR. I wanted to bend over quite a few in the interview process. Glad I turned down the offer now though.
It was written on the bathroom wall. Seemed legit.
Where'd you hear that?
