Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Maybe we should start dropping names if you think HR is reading this hopefully they'll pass the message on to the masters.

Have you ever get a 3rd party feedback request from your Sr. Dir. or VP? No. They protect each other. They promote each other. Anyone that has approached HR either in an exit interview, personal issue or transition knows they are not on your side. They call your Director and LOL at you when you get out of the room. And any comment you make is used against you.

Let me share this, I spoke to the Director about feedback for the team I work for, I included examples of how can we make a better team, feedback for the manager and deficiencies observed for years, his response was let me dig in and see what we can do, next my manager called me and asked me if wanted to tell him anything? I say no, then his words: next time you need provide feedback for upper management about anything you come and talk to me!!! Simple BS unethical welcome to Qualcomn

I don't give negative reviews to management because nothing good comes from it. Just offer a few suggestions would be enough.

If I get a shitty accelerated review, expect to see some names and some stories. Who cares of HR sees them or not the world will. And we will. And believe you me, I'm going to get a crappy review. What's the way these guys collude and conspire, I'm expecting of one I'd be blown away with ia two. I am a low hanging fruit not to mention introvert who is not part of the club, bottle full of bub.

good luck sending feedback about your manager to his manager... why do you think they are managers in that team? no director likes to hear that his star boy/girl is lousy... looks bad on him/her... so yeah, they will twist it and point it back at you... you wanna go above them? good luck, they don't even know who you are... trust me, never say anything bad about your manager... applies to any company not just this one

"maybe you're the problem" -- I think HR can be outsourced to a magic 8-ball that only yields the answer "maybe you're the problem". Of course, maybe he is the only person that has the balls to give non-asskissing feedback. In HR-speak, that's called "complaining"

Use ShareIT and send feedback about your manager any time you want. You don't need to be asked any more. if you think your manager is lousy, tell your manager's manager about it. If you're the only one complaining though, maybe you're the problem.

I was asked to give feedback for my team lead so I told it as it is. He has no listening skills. He just barks orders around since he knows how to do thing best, Yes, he's a brilliant engineer, but a totally lousy manager. My performance rating promptly dropped one scale because I'm a poor communicator now :-) He got promoted, and now he's a PITA really poor manager.

yeah great idea, but you get too specific and they will know where the comment came from... some managers have 4 ppl... ridiculous... do you really have a full plate "managing" 4 people? some directors brought in their friends from previous companies, been 5-7 years still Sr. Staff, they guy is useless, everyone knows it... keeps getting new people or slightly different responsibilities, but never fired... some VP is brought in because we want his IP, the guy looks more like a fashion model than engineer, comes in at 11am leaves at 3pm, he knows he's going nowhere... some teams are 90% of the same nationality as the manager, what a coincidence... there's no point man

Even though this is capitalism, this is exactly how it happens in communist society, top 1% racks up all the benefit and say "what a bummer" to proletarian workers.

Principal in our group, been in Q for years. does petty work and exposures it as big to management. management are truly blinded? or braindead? promoting such ppl..senseless. Such ppl need to be laid off. None of us get any thirdparty feedback abot them

Current culture: Forget about about the third party feedback shareIt..its waste of time. Every Qcommer know it..they use/mold accordingly to management.
