Polish up those resumes folks. Allscripts' effort to get the Department of Defense's massive DHMSM EHR contract has failed -- no surprise. Hobbling together a ragtag bunch of people with US passports -- while always intending to outsource the work to India as usual - Allscripts wasn't able to convince the feds to give them billions of bucks to bungle yet another large-scale system. Oh well... like we said -- polish up those resumes. Cerner deservedly got the contract, and if you're a US citizen, you've got a shot at being on this huge project with a successful company...
Meanwhile, the end of the month and end of pay period looms for the poor Allscripters. And the muckety mucks have had to put their champagne back in the executive fridges -- no one celebrating tonight...
