Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

will employees who Qual layoff at Sep be allowed to stay until mid Nov ?

SM mentioned in the all hands, there will be two months transition time.

So, people can stay in Qual two more months to look for new job after laid off, right ?

If there is a 2 month transition time, it should be under regular payroll. The 2 months severence package is what you get after security escorts you out the back door.

Is the 2 months base severance every talks about the "transition time", or are there 2separate things?

In other words, would we get 2 months transition, 2 months severance , 2weeks for every year?

They can give you two months pay and benefits but that doesn't mean you would be allowed access to all your work areas.

So when we hear 2 months plus 2week per year.

The 2months is the transition?

Is the transition while being at Qualcomm? Or don't come into work?

Law says 60 days. QCOM gives some extra time such as 2 weeks per year of service.
