Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Managment should get ssl5

Speaking of performance- BK failed to get mobile market share, foundry business failed. Now coming to Renne, she is worse than him- mcafee, ssg, hr. She does not even have good academic credentials. she is walking away with 4 mil, not to mention millions she already got. And whoever is responsible for worlds ugliest braclet mica. Kim stevens in IT - head of IT with no technical background. She spent millions to buy useless software and sprinkled across IT. Her BUMs are speech written by her TA. Hopefully he never bcoms ceo or president like Renee. All these should get ssl5 and labled has repeated poor performers. How can bk call us that when he himself failed at his job? Some bigshot at intel has this policy called only paranoid survives. Employees really work in terrorized environment. How can you be productive in a paranoid atmoshpere. We are pitched aginst our co workers. No other company thinks on these lines. BK mentioned in his focal guidelines that every year 10% should be declared as poor performers. Which other company does that? Does it make sense to hire someone and expect them to not work well? BK does not have minimum common sense? Intel founders were phds and noble prize winner, they were good people. What kind of qualification does BK or renee have? Look at other company heads - qualcomm, apple, arm. This is beginning of the end for intel. This layoff was act of desperation and arrogance. Now coming to diversity- ever heard of apple making so much noise about it? Nope because they have real work to do. Smart and hardworking people make good products not diverse idiots. 5 smart ppl belonging to same race/color/gender are better than group of one stupid white, one stupid black, one stupid indian, one stupid woman. But again BK is not smart to get this.

Intel is going down sooner or later. All those kiss asses lining their pockets at share holders expense will then sing a different tune. Already Apple is moving towards AMD. Here's "Intel Inside out" message: boycott Intel based products, spread the word how Intel is outsourcing living wage jobs offshore, how Intel use 80/20 rule of its own and releases products with flaws, all those companies like Intergraph, AMD, and other companies that Intel blacklists because they have claims against Intel. These companies should reopen their cases because there's new inside information that some of the internal paper trail that was withheld could be used to show Intel has been playing dirty game.

Maybe it's time for Intel to make some drastic changes to their culture and get beyond their rank and yank system. http://fortune.com/2015/06/16/adobe-employee-retention/. http://fortune.com/2012/06/27/are-annual-performance-reviews-necessary/

Here's a description of the movie mentioned below: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enron:_The_Smartest_Guys_in_the_Room.

"With the vision of transforming Enron from an energy supplier to an energy trader, Skilling imposes his interpretation of Darwinian worldview on Enron by establishing a review committee that grades employees and annually fires the bottom fifteen percent, a process nicknamed within the company as 'rank and yank'. This creates a highly competitive and brutal working environment. Skilling hires lieutenants who enforce his directives inside Enron, known as the 'guys with spikes.'"

Watch the movie "The smartest guys in the room". Its about ERON and their culture of getting rid of the bottom 10% every year. It drove people to dishonesty and ultimately bankruptcy. Buy Altera will be the end and death of Intel.
