Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

From my perspective...

As a PL I can't for the life of me understand why so many of our faculty - FTF and adjuncts - make our job (PLs and PDs) so difficult! We give you all faculty expectations in black and white and give weekly counseling on expectations not met, yet week after week faculty refuse to comply with the simplest expectations. We couldn't make all this any simpler for you... Does it really take so much effort for you to not leave some words of encouragement for your students on graded quizzes (the fact eCollege grades quizzes and not you manually is inconsequential!!!). It's like babysitting children. For the record, my PD said she has it on good authority that the comments our CEO made 2 weeks ago via conference call about rebuilding and righting the ship with new online administration was sincere and from the heart. For you all to be so skeptical and doubtful is just sad. Be a professional!

This PL (or pretend PL) has summed up the entire problem with Zenith (and CCI before him/her), "As a PL I can't for the life of me understand..." Ladies and Gentlemen, here is the source of all our problems. Garbage in, garbage out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This pretend PL is being ironic, no doubt. Students at pretend colleges like Everest don't read feedback and don't care about it. It is a farce to require faculty to leave feedback in the first place.

It's not a requirement. This "PL" is joking around.

Your use of the term "nullifies" is inappropriate in context and blatantly in accurate. We are in deeper shit than I thought. A PL can't even correctly define the null set, jesus I hope you don't teach sets and numbers

If I'm able to meet the expectations for my class so can everyone. That nullifies the point you were trying to make, because if I can do it it can be done...

There is always conflict when expectations and ability to meet expectations don't match. If what you expect is unrealistic, then the teachers will never meet those expectations. This is the kind of problem with reps who promise a lot and we can never deliver on their lies.
